Shipped Work
SuperCala builds its own software across finance, voice, creator tooling, local-data systems, browser extensions, and games. That range is the point. These products are live evidence that we can design, build, and ship software in very different domains without hiding behind decks, prototypes, or agency theater.
Money
A calm, honest net-worth tracker. Link banks, brokerages, and loans through Plaid; track property value with automated valuations; chat with an AI about your own financial picture. Encrypted at rest. We do not train on your data.
Simple monthly budgeting. Set per-category limits, log spending by hand, and watch where your money goes. Free for manual entry; go Pro to sync transactions automatically from MyNetWorth and auto-categorize them — and Pro on either unlocks both.
Bookkeeping and tax prep built for freelancers and small business owners. Auto-categorizes Plaid-imported transactions by tax category, ingests W-2s and 1099s, surfaces deductions before filing season.
A calm, minimalist weekly research memo. Synthesizes what the major banks and macro shops are saying so individual investors don't have to read twenty PDFs to figure out what the market is worried about.
A focused charting workbench for individual investors. Candlestick + volume on every timeframe, the indicators you actually use (SMA, EMA, RSI, MACD, Bollinger), watchlist sidebar, and a clean dark UI. Free anonymous use; paid plan saves your watchlists and per-chart layouts to the cloud.
An interactive retirement projection sandbox. Per-account balances and contributions (401k / Roth / taxable / HSA), a stock-bond glidepath, RMDs, healthcare cost ramp, and Social Security — all charted live across bull / base / bear scenarios. Free anonymous use; sign-in unlocks saved scenarios and a one-click pull from MyNetWorth.
Work
An AI receptionist, scheduler, and marketing engine for contractors, clinics, salons, and shops. Answers every call and chat, books appointments straight into your real calendar, and keeps customers engaged with reminders and review requests.
Turn the messy email, PDF, and iCal notifications your clients send into clean structured records in Airtable, Google Sheets, or any system you already use. Per-tenant schemas, after-hours / keyword filters, human-in-the-loop review queue for anything the AI couldn't confidently extract.
Create
A fast, friendly browser video editor with the cuts, captions, and beat-snapping you actually use. AI hook writer drafts five thumb-stopping openers from a one-line brief; the highlight agent watches up to thirty minutes of raw footage and cuts a tight reel. Free anonymous use; Pro lifts the cap and unlocks AI.
Automates the drudgery between "the manuscript is done" and "the book is live on every platform" - formatting, metadata, store submission, and launch comms. Built for authors who'd rather be writing.
Homes
A browser extension that overlays lifestyle intelligence on Zillow - walkability, school quality, noise, local economy - right on the listing page. Because the photo gallery doesn't tell you whether a train runs through the backyard at 4am.
A Chrome extension that drafts a clean offer letter while you browse a Zillow listing. Pulls listing context, asks a couple of questions, sends through Gmail. Because the first offer letter shouldn't take all afternoon.
Discovery
A plain, fast public directory of local businesses by region and category. Built on the same data pipeline that powers SourceStream - cleaned, deduped, and served without ad-farm noise.
Discovers local businesses via Google Maps signals, scores them by lead quality, and exports them to outreach tools. Currently the internal engine behind Directory and outreach campaigns; a public front-end is on the roadmap.
Tools
A clean, fast JSON editor for the browser. Tree + code views with live validation, schema inference, and AI-assisted edits in plain English ("add a created_at to every order"). Free to use anonymously; one paid account unlocks cloud save and AI across the whole tools suite.
Drag any AcroForm PDF in, get fields detected automatically, fill them via a clean side panel, and download. Free anonymous use; one paid account unlocks cloud save, reusable autofill profiles, and AI suggestions across the suite.
People
Play
A Civilization II spiritual successor where the late game is the main game: dynasty politics on Earth, orbital cities, interplanetary expansion, immortality ideologies, and forked versions of the ruler competing across centuries.
A city-and-farmstead simulation that plays out over a hundred years in a single place. Plant crops, build roads, raise settlements, watch fortunes turn. A long-form solo project - no live service, no battle pass, no mobile port.
New ideas land in the lab and get prototyped in evenings and weekends. The ones that prove out show up here.
Bespoke development
Need something built that most shops would call too custom, too technical, or too weird? That's the work we like. We take on a limited number of engagements for founders and operators who want senior builders shipping real software quickly.
What we build
- AI systems - voice agents, chatbots, retrieval pipelines, workflow automation, and document intelligence
- Internal tools - dashboards, back-office systems, lead ops, reporting, data cleanup, and automations
- Web apps & APIs - full-stack products, integrations, billing, auth, background jobs, and data-heavy backends
- Oddball builds - browser extensions, niche consumer tools, experiments, and category-crossing software that doesn't fit a template
How it works
Short, scoped engagements when possible. Fixed bid where the problem is well-bounded, time-and-materials where discovery is part of the job. You talk directly to the people writing the software - no account managers, no outsourced dev layer, no translation loss.
Most clients underestimate how quickly a focused senior team can ship when it isn't trapped inside enterprise process. The products above are the proof: different stacks, different audiences, different constraints, all built under one roof.
How we build
Broad by design
Most software companies pick a lane and stay there. We don't. We care more about shipping strong software than staying inside a single category. The breadth across the product slate - finance tools next to a Unity game, browser extensions next to voice systems - is intentional. It exercises different muscles and keeps the studio honest. If we say we can build across domains, the evidence is public.
Self-funded on purpose
SuperCala is self-funded. That's not branding; it's operating structure. No board-level growth theater, no pressure to turn every product into a platform, no need to pretend a bad idea is working. Each product has to earn its keep. That discipline is good for our own software and good for client work: we build with cost, leverage, and maintainability in mind.
Direct line, no queue
Write in and you're talking to the people who actually build and ship the software - not a sales layer, not a support maze, not someone forwarding notes into Jira. Bug reports get read. Custom ideas get evaluated by people who know the codebase. The answer might be no, but it will be informed and direct.
